St. Lucia

This small eastern Caribbean Island has everything you need for a great vacation. The signature landscape of St. Lucia are the Piton mountains, these steep peeks are almost ½ mile high and are located on the southeast side. There is not much going on in the south, aside from fancy adult-only resorts and small paradisiac coves and lagoons, so if you are looking to relax on the beach or for a place to honeymoon, this is it! The north side is where everything happens if you are looking for action; tourist strips, restaurants, entertainment and nightlife. The most popular resort area is that of Rodney Bay. Castries, the main city has some high-end creole restaurants, perfect for the foodies who want a taste of the local cuisine: try the Pink Plantation House. Also worth the detour is Pigeon Island. Located on the north side, it is accessible by causeway. Atop this former pirate hideout you will find a fort with a splendid panoramic view. If you have been in the Caribbean before, don’t assume St Lucia is like any other island, get here and see for yourself!
